We understand that visiting a church
for the first time can be intimidating.
And so to help you get to know us...
We've included a snapshot about:
- what we believe
- what we value
- and a chance to meet our staff!
At our core we know that when we encounter Jesus, lives are changed, for eternity.
If you are around us long enough, you’ll hear us say our mission many times.
OUR MISSION
To be followers of Jesus,
who help more people
follow Jesus.
We highly value our ability to worship and hear the Word of God together, growing closer to God through relationships, and sharing this good news with our community.
TRUTHS WE LIVE BY
Read the rest of the Bible Fellowship Church's beliefs here!
The Bible is the Word of God, inspired and without error, and the final authority for faith and life.
God is the One true and living God, existing in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), who has created all things out of nothing and continues to sustain, provide, and rule all things to accomplish His purposes.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who added full humanity to His perfect deity, was born of a virgin, obeyed God perfectly, died for the sins of humanity, rose again, and ascended to the Father.
The Holy Spirit is equally God and came from the Father and Son to complete and perfect in us all the works Jesus began, convicting of sin, forming Christ-like character, and gifting us for ministry.
People are created in God's image, though that image is now marred because of Adam's sin which makes all people sinners by nature, alienated from God, and without an ability to reconcile themselves to God apart from the work of Christ.
Salvation is the gift of God provided by His grace and received by those who have faith in Jesus and His finished work on the Cross which satisfied God's wrath against their sins and provided eternal righteousness and life.
The Church, universally and locally, is a new people of God over which Christ has ultimate authority, is called together as Christ's followers to share the truth and love of Jesus with the world, and has been granted two practices (Baptism & Lord's Supper) to celebrate God's work.
Jesus Christ will return physically to establish His Kingdom, after which God will resurrect the dead for the final judgment of every person. Believers will enter into eternal joy in God's presence, and nonbelievers will enter into endless suffering in hell apart from Him.
MEET OUR PASTORS & STAFF
Peter Bogert
Lead Pastor
Background:
I grew up in Glen Rock, a small town in northern NJ, and graduated from Northeastern Bible College in 1975 with a B.A. in Biblical Literature and a minor in Christian Education. I met my wife, Laura, at Ringwood Baptist Church (NJ) in 1975, and we were married in November of 1976. We have 3 children, Stephen (Clair), Christy (Isaac), Cindy (Dan), and seven grandchildren.
Salvation & Ministry Journey:
I trusted Christ as my Savior during my later senior high school years. I began serving in ministry at Ringwood Baptist Church and then at Faith Community Church in Rosyln, PA. I served various roles including Administrator of Faith Christian School and Associate Pastor. I resigned in 2017, and we moved to Center Valley, where we now live with our daughter Cindy!
Favorite Verse:
Psalm 121 meant a great deal to me during a particularly difficult period and still does.
Hobbies:
Baseball! I love watching it, reading it, and used to collect baseball cards. Laura and I enjoy watching various British TV programs about home renovations. We feel we have watched enough of these to be able to be expert deck builders should the need ever arise!
Jacob Dearmon
Associate Pastor of Family Ministries
Background:
I grew up in Niceville, FL, and moved to Madison, AL around the time I turned 9. There, I met my wife, Katie, attended college, and got married in August 2020. Katie and I welcomed our son, Judah, in March of 2025, and it is our joy to be foster parents as well. I graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) with a Bachelor's in Business Management. I received my Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where I am also working on my Doctor of Ministry (DMin) in Expositional Preaching.
Salvation & Ministry Journey:
I am joyfully a product of faithful parents who sought to raise me with an understanding of my sin and the gospel of Jesus Christ. With that, I came to faith and was baptized in childhood. I began to feel the Lord calling me to ministry when I was in middle school. When I finished high school, my local church invited me on staff as the Student Ministry Intern and began teaching me in the ways of theology and providing me with hands-on ministry experience. Upon graduating from college, and the completion of the four-year internship, the Lord called me to Calvary Bible Fellowship, where I have enjoyed serving on the pastoral staff since August 2020.
Favorite Verse:
Matthew 11:28-30 where Jesus describes Himself as gentle and lowly and His burden as light. This is the only passage in scripture where Jesus describes His heart.
Hobbies:
Golfing, reading, video games, playing sports with my kids, grilling/smoking meat, and trail walking are all current hobbies, but they are constantly changing! I also love the Phillies, New England Patriots, and Florida Gators!
Logan Cobb
Director of Discipleship
Background:
I grew up in northern Alabama (Huntsville), and graduated from Athens State University with a degree in Religious Studies. I am currently working towards my Master of Divinity at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I met my wife, Kassidy, in Huntsville in 2019. We were married in 2022, and have a daughter named Jensen.
Salvation & Ministry Journey:
The Lord brought me to saving faith at a young age (7-8 years old). I discerned the call into vocational ministry in my college years. Upon graduation, I accepted a full-time position in Fort Myers, FL serving as the Operations Director at Fort Myers Community Church. The Lord led my family to Calvary Bible Fellowship in March of 2025 where I now serve.
Favorite Verse:
Isaiah 59:1 "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save, or His ear dull that it cannot hear."
Hobbies:
Golf, binge watching a good TV show with Kassidy, reading, and watching my favorite sports teams (Pittsburgh Steelers, St. Louis Cardinals)

MINISTRY FROM THE INSIDE OUT
MINISTRIES
A MISSION FOR PEOPLE, HERE & ABROAD
Loving others as ourselves starts with serving those who visit our church by providing care to those who need it. It then grows and extends out into the community, being a blessing in Coopersburg and throughout the world.
Calvary has only a few full time Pastors, but hundreds of us are school teachers, soccer coaches, food bank volunteers, mechanics, pilots, nurses, and business people who are living out their faith in everyday life. We’re caring for the elderly, teaching kids, serving in politics, visiting prisons, and speaking up for the least of these.
MINISTRIES
PRESCHOOL
Extending out to our community, our caring teachers illuminate joy that sets positive ripples of love, confidence, energy, and enthusiasm within the children and their learning.
Children ages 3-5 will experience a creative and developmentally appropriate learning environment, combined with Kindergarten readiness in a Christ-centered environment.
MINISTRIES
COMMUNITY FOR ALL
Inside our doors, there's something for everyone. We worship together, then we grow together!
Whether you are single or have a family, or are somewhere in the mix of that, Calvary is a place where you can belong. Our "family" ministries have a place for you to feel connected and grow.
GOD WANTS TO DO GREAT THINGS
THROUGH YOU!
