Celebrating 150 Years!
Since the Liberty Bell rolled down Main Street and the soldiers returned from the Civil War, Calvary Church has been worshiping together at this very location. After a century and a half of ministry, it’s time to celebrate. Put these great dates on your calendar and help us remember our past as we anticipate our future.
Food Truck Festival - 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
With a special focus on teens and young adults, this event will be held in the parking lot right here at Calvary. Vendors will offer food for purchase from Frozen Island shaved ice, Bull & Bear’s Gyros, Tacos and more. Live music featuring John Hufford, Behind the Curtain Band, and DJ Byelich will take the stage while can frisbee, corn hole, and inflatable games will keep you busy.
October 26 - 27
Anniversary Celebration Weekend
Saturday - 9:00 am - Family Breakfast and Fun
Bring the kids for an all church pancake breakfast followed by games, creative activity, contests, and fun for all ages. Face painting, old fashioned games, scavenger hunt, Calvary Trivia, and more. Give the next generation a taste of our past. “Kumm esse!” (That’s “Come eat!” in Pa Dutch!)
7:00 pm - A Concert of Praise
Some of you will remember gifted pianist Huntley Brown who ministered here a number of years back. Huntley is back, bringing the joy and variety for which he is uniquely known. All ages will enjoy his lively, God focused minis- try...we promise! Dr. Dan Doriani will share briefly. Dan is a noted speaker and author from Covenant Seminary in St. Louis and is mar- ried to former Pastor Leroy Heller’s daughter, Debbie. We’re inviting BFC and community leaders to share this time with us as well.
10:00 am – Noon
“Together as One”
The highlight of our celebration, Dr. Doriani will join us at DeSales University for a morning of joy as we look back at 150 years of ministry, praise God for His working in our church family today, and seek His guidance for all that lies ahead. Nate Moyer and our praise team will lead as well as Calvary’s Choir. Pastor Dave and our elders will participate and we’ll celebrate Communion together.
Questions? Contact Pastor Rick. Come join us for a weekend to remember.
