Connect Groups

What are Connect Groups?

Our Vision is to see a congregation connected and discipled through an expanded ministry of small groups, or connect groups. Each of these meet regularly to pray together, learn from God's Word and encourage each other as we walk through life together. Some groups do this through discussing the sermon while others may go through a devotional book together. Each group has its own personality and rhythms, but all love Jesus and each other!

We would love to have you join us

Steve and Kathy

Our group includes couples and singles who typically gather on the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of the month at 6pm. Our gatherings are hosted by Kathy and Steve and we generally share a simple meal/snack while we catch up with each other, have a time of study and sharing as well as a time of prayer. It’s an informal setting where our goal is to help each person feel welcome and at home.

Josh and Melanie

We are a multigenerational group that is passionate about growing closer to Christ! We meet at 5:15pm on Sunday every week (and often provide snacks!). We are currently going through Luke and LOVE to dive deep into what each passage says about God, about man and how it might transform us. We always end our time together by sharing prayer requests and praises and praying that God would do in us what we read about in His Word.

During the week, we have a very active Group Me where we share how our week is going, prayer requests, updates, and tease each other a lot 😉 We try to get together outside of group once a quarter to do something fun together! (ex: dinner, fall festivities, white elephant gift exchange etc).

Bob and Pat

We generally rotate between meeting at two of our members houses, on Sundays at 6PM biweekly. We like to review and discuss the Sunday’s message together and then share life’s praises and challenges through upholding each other in prayer. Currently, we are a group of "older" folk - but are open to all joining us and would love to create a multigenerational group!

Dan and Leanne

We gather every other week currently meeting on Mondays at 6:15 using Zoom. When we return to meeting in person at our home in Coopersburg, we will generally share a simple dinner/dessert, have prayer time, catch up and have a 30/40 min lesson. We have done some community service together and would like to expand upon that. We are a casual group who care deeply about each other, our families and our Calvary family. In addition to discussing the sermons we are currently exploring God’s purpose for our lives and determining goals and accountability in fulfilling those purposes.

Tom and Yvonne

A group of adult singles and couples led by Tom and Yvonne Shorb.  The group typically meets at 6 pm on the second and fourth Sunday of the month either on ZOOM or in the Coopersburg area.  Currently the group uses the Pastor’s sermon and text as the basis of expanded study and application to our lives.

Center Valley

Don and Pam

Prior to COVID-19 we started with a pizza dinner and we were meeting every other Friday evening at 6 p.m. We shift for a short time to Tuesdays on Zoom. We don’t have any pets, so we’re allergy friendly and children are welcome.

Nedra and Women's Group

We are a group of Calvary women and friends who generally meet every second and fourth Monday evening from 7:00-8:45 pm at church. We've recently been delving into the Bible study written by Rick Warren "What on Earth am I here for?". This study has reminded, revealed and  delightfully challenged us to dig deeper into God's Word together.
