Heart To Care
Calvary has been the sole financial supporter of the Heart to Care orphanage located in Kenya, Africa since 2001, providing funds to cover basic needs of food, staff electric bills, firewood to cook meals, and fees for primary education (grades 1-6) which is held at the orphanage. This foundation is under the direction of Pastor Philip Osenya and his wife Caren.
Secondary education is important for the orphans to succeed once they leave the orphanage.
As the orphans age more of them will now be in secondary education. The costs of secondary education (grades 7-9) and then grades 10-12 are a significant burden on the orphanage's finances.
In Novemeber of 2025, the special Dare to Care Campaign to support secondary education raised sufficient funds along with other contribuitions to Heart to Care throughout the year, to provide the needed $15,363.00 to purchase uniforms and shoes for 29 secondary education, provide funds for secondary education, two who were sent to boarding school required of students in grades 10-12.
This coming school year of 2027, we estimate the cost of 30 secondary students, 11 attending boarding school, will be $21,000.00. All funds donated to the Heart To Care option will be used to meet these projected needs.
