Mission Costa Rica 2027

January 13-21. 2027

Our Missions Committee is excited for our Annual Missions trip to Costa Rica to support Lillian Solt who leads CEDCAS. This ministry brings people to Jesus through "whole person" care - meeting spiritual, physical, emotional and financial needs.

As part of a CEDCAS supporting church, we not only provide them financial resources, but relationships through people we send. For as one of the trip organizers has said "when we were lost and broken, God didn't send us a check, He sent us His son." This is the mindset the team strives to embody as they encourage Lillian and her team through both fellowship and project assistance every year.

Local Missions

Our faith is strengthened when we gather, but it really makes an impact when we live our lives in the community. We weren’t meant to simply show up and be spectators, but rather to participate by serving in our neighborhood, our school, our workplace.

Calvary has only a few full time Pastors, but hundreds of us are school teachers, soccer coaches, food bank volunteers, mechanics, pilots, nurses, and business people who are living out their faith in everyday life. We’re caring for the elderly, teaching kids, serving in politics, visiting prisons, and speaking up for the least of these.

That’s faith in action. That’s what the Church is called to do.

In addition to those things to which we give our lives, our resources make ministries like the local Food Pantry, Crossroads Pregnancy Center, and Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Ministry possible.

Global Missions

Going into all the world!

Jesus’ final directive was that his followers share the “Good News” and make disciples both near and far. We continue to follow the Master’s mandate. From Main Street, Coopersburg to Lehigh, Northampton, and Bucks Counties, to the hills of Kentucky, to Costa Rica’s rainforest and Kenya’s villages, Calvary takes Jesus’ command seriously and by his grace we are being used to make a difference worldwide. Where do you fit in to our global outreach? Whether it is to people near us and like us or far from us and different from us, there’s a place for you in Calvary’s mission to our world.
